Dal 7 al 10 giugno 2027, l'isola di Stromboli ospiterà il workshop “Imaging Volcanoes: Multi-scale Analysis of Eruptive Products from Field to Lab”, organizzato da INGV e dal consorzio europeo EXCITE 2.
Un'opportunità unica per 20 giovani ricercatori e ricercatrici (PhD ed ECR) per esplorare: ???? Imaging di laboratorio a micro e nanoscala (SEM, Micro-CT, TEM, Sincrotrone) Imaging ad alta frequenza sul campo (Camere termiche, UV e ad alta velocità) Machine Learning e analisi avanzata delle immagini Attività di terreno e dimostrazioni pratiche.

From field to lab: how do we analyze the products and dynamics of volcanic eruptions?
From June 7 to 10, 2027, the island of Stromboli will host the international workshop "Imaging Volcanoes: Multi-scale Analysis of Eruptive Products from Field to Lab", organized by INGV @hphtlab and the European consortium EXCITE 2.
A unique opportunity for 20 early-career researchers (PhD students and ECRs) to explore:
Micro- and nano-scale laboratory imaging (SEM, Micro-CT, TEM, Synchrotron)
High-frequency field imaging (Thermal, UV, and high-speed cameras)
Machine Learning and advanced image processing
Field activities and practical demonstrations
Travel Grants available for students and ECRs!
